Social media itself is a catch-all term for sites that may provide radically different social actions. For instance, Twitter is a social site designed to let people share short messages or “updates” with others. Facebook, in contrast is a full-blown social networking site that allows for sharing updates, photos, joining events and a variety of other activities.

Pinterest is PIN INTEREST. The purpose of creator is to support users to save interesting images when surfing the internet (movie, news, images,...). And they can do it by a simple manipulation "Pin" => You can imagine how it works, right? :D
So, who are the core object? Of course, they are mostly women. They are more sensitive and want to share their life moments more than men. Hence, this is a potential market for you if you produce the goods they care. Otherwise, I think, Facebook is much more better :)
You should also create a personal website so that you can control your online business more actively and separately.
    That's all my ideas.
    Thank for reading. :)

Some websites like Buffer and Hootsuite are very nice options to manage social media accounts with ease.

The best advice I could give you is to only use the social media platforms that A.) you are comfortable with/know how to use and B.) that make sense for your business.

Facebook and Twitter are generally the first two platforms to come to mind when one thinks about social media marketing, and a lot of that has to do with the mere reach capabilities of the websites. Facebook has 1.65 billion monthly active users (as of March 31, 2016). Twitter has 310 million monthly active users (also as of March 31, 2016). The exposure capabilities on these websites are unprecedented and most of the basic functions are quite straightforward and easy to use. I would highly recommended Facebook and Twitter.

Other social media platforms, such as Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat, etc., can be more niche based. For example, if your business isn't churning out beautiful products weekly, you're likely not going to be posting a ton of pictures of your work on Instagram. With that said, you need to determine what the best social media platforms are for you, and what the best social media tactics are to get the word out about your business/freelance availability.

Since small businesses generally have limited marketing budgets, social media engagement becomes a very important and attractive way for you to stay in the eye of your target market. Social media also allows you to leverage word of mouth marketing where people in your network expose you to their networks. Yes, you can screw up by engaging the wrong way, but when you strike that perfect balance— whatever that may be for your business— it’s incredibly effective in building awareness, rapport and relationships that ultimately can turn into commercial opportunity.

Also, LinkedIn is always a good social media platform for business, as its main function is to connect professionals with each other.

Going off of what Damiestechnologies said, onlywire.com is another social media sharing resource, allowing you to manage multiple platforms at once.

    Best,
