.com always should be first priority however, in case .com not available, you can use .net then.
As most others have stated .com will get the most bang for your buck. It's usually a little more expensive since so many names have been bought over the years though it's recognizable and trusted to even the casual consumer and internet denizen.
.com, for sure.
I don't know how it works, but any .com website is considered reliable for me by default
.com is better option
i like net. more than com
.com = commerce
It isn't going to matter. People don't often remember ANY web address, .com or otherwise. They will remember the business name, and enter it into a search engine.
But I recemmend to use .com
i would go for .com if my customers are not only in my country.
.com is better than .net.
.com stands for the commercial site at the same time .net stands for Network site when it comes to best it lies in what purpose they are using .com is best for businesses type website and .net is best for internet and database service provider website.
People trust .com more so it's always the best. .net is a generic second place.
That being said it also depends on the niche. Someone suggested .info for news - that could work (not as good as .com). There is also a .news tld so it might be worth considering
In the app / coding / tech space, I've seen .io domains do quite well. Obviously the .com would be better, but if everything else looks good .io can work.
In short: .com first, .info or .news second and .net last.
.com stands for commercial, .net stands for network (like Facebook.com) and .org stands for organization. So you can choose any of these 3 options. For News website, .com is worth using. In future, if you going to add more services then you can also use .net or .org
What I learned from some experts is, (dot) com is better coz it tends to rant better.
Nowadays (dot) com happens to look not available most of the time. But searches have been optimized by some innovative engines out there.
