Quick and Safe Browsing!!!

Hi all,
Do you people suggest me some of precautions which are to be
taken when surfing net. I always get worried when a link is there, I do not
open any as they can have virus affected or Spyware. I am looking for safe ways
of surfing. Nowadays Internet as there is rise in internet usage so is the
threats.

It`s a good practice to have an anti-virus program running on your computer. The free version of AVG is a good one http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe
 
In addition, you can have Spybot search & destroy running which will block ads and other spyware that may attempt to download to your computer when you visit a site that does that.

Make sure to keep both programs up to date... it`s a simple as clicking a button to update virus info.
 
Finally, schedule a regular scan of your computer by AVG and spybot. Depending upon the amount of web browsing you do as often as one a week for AVG and every couple of weeks for Spybot.
