I am a student, currently studying in Hong Kong. I aspire to own the finest fashion store in Jamaica catering to upper and upper middle class people. I also would like to open a clothing wholesale to cater to people of the middle class and lower class in the country's capital.

I am thinking of buying the clothing in Asia and ship to Jamaica. Do you think this would be cost effective, if so, how is this possible?

What is the cost like, to ship to Jamaica from Hong Kong, and what about customs?

What is the best way to do this?
As I said I am a student, (masters in International Business and Finance) and I am fairly new to the business world. This is just a dream and I am working to make it a reality.

Just a heads up for this, well it will depend if the clothes are more cheaper in Asia. For starters you can search and check shipping companies get a quotation and compare them. Get some good advice from their previous clients or get an opinion from people who knows the firm. When you already have a firm that you can depend on, they will process everything like freight, shipping or importing etc. Hope this will help.
