Trademark Question

Hello Everyone,
 
I plan to file a trademark soon with the US office.  As soon as I do this, would it be wise to start telling people about my business concept, etc? Or should I wait a few months before I start talking about everything?

filed federal tm applications are public records.  in theory, everybody already knows about everything on file there, so there is no real "secrecy" possible.
