Could I be sued...

Hello Everyone,
I am thinking about starting a clothing line using my mother`s name.  I`m worried because I know other women in the world have the same name as my mother.  Could I be sued for using a name or likeness of a name?
Thanks, DayDreamer

I don`t believe so. Maybe, but unlikey. Can I sue for that tropical storm being named after me? You should be ok.

Hey DayDreamer,Unless your mom`s name is a signature clothing line i.e. liz clairborne, ann taylor, or some one like Trump-you should have nothing to worry about.  It might be good  to just check on trademark and copyrighted names just in case-since we don`t know her name.LT
