Making money online--blogging?

Has anyone heard a lot about WritingUp.com?   It`s a website that pays people to blog.  Does anyone know much about this?  Is it a reputable site?  This sounds too good to be true. Thanks, DayDreamer

Based on their Alexa ranking they`re getting enough traffic to pay a few dollars but certainly not more than a few thousand dollars total.Pay to blog is definitely legit. Weblogs Inc. was paying bloggers salary before being acquired by AOL ($30 million). And Gawker media pays their bloggers as well.The other important part of this model is that the blogs are grouped into a federation. That means that each new blog can launch with extra traffic and pagerank. It`d probably be a good idea for anyone starting a blog to join up with some friends into a federation of sorts.

Blogging can be a good money making opportunity, but I would think you have to be able to write well, be willing to write a lot, and have something to write about that is of interest to many people. Some people might think they have those things in place, but find out they really fall short. Marketing your blog is then another issue to worry about.

In my experience viewers tend to like blogs that have original content and not to be found somewhere else.

Blogging is a brilliant way to get your name/brand out there! But make sure you are writing content that people want to read - interesting topics that will catch the readers eye!
