marketing a self published book

Good Morning to all,
I am hoping for some help with a book I put together. It is a nice book with ideas and crafts, and some templates for projects. It would be great for parents, daycare providers and club leaders. How can I market to this group. I haven`t gotten a website up yet so help with that would be great also. My book is almost done, so I am ready for the next stage. Any ideas to jumpstart?

I have tried that but no real marketing strategy. I want to print the book myself as we are printers. Thank there is alot of good information on the site however.

What is your market?  It so happens that one of my clients is a POD publisher and we`ve worked on many strategies.

My market is Daycare Providers and parents, teachers, club leaders etc.
It is crafts and ideas for Holidays and Birthdays

Is your effort going to begin locally and regionally before you go further?  Are you on trying to sell online?  What are your ambitions?

Sorry, but I keep thinking of questions, but here are a few ideas right away:

If you want to sell it yourself, get a website up where people can buy it.
Look closely at those who make up your target group, go where they go, have it available where they shop for crafts, Parent/Teacher stores.
Do seminars with ideas from your book for Free at schools, churches, day care centers
Trade shows about crafts, how-to books, and co-market with companies who share your target audiences.
