Business Licenses

I`m not sure about this so I thought I would just ask somebody. If you have a company let say Sky Construction and you want to have other avenues of the same business under a similar name but different (ex. Sky Roofing, Sky Remolding, Sky Paving, Sky Landscaping, etc) Do you have to get a business license for each avenue or will one do since the one is the main company.

Each state is different. Check with you state licensing board. You might be able to get a license under a corporate name that lists and covers the other business entities you want to set up.
