The local  Business Journal - and similar publications have always been a great source of new clients for my business.  Especially when they publish contact information for any business applying for a business license or leasing new office/retail space - it`s a ready-made mailing list.Back in 1998, another similar business publication, the Daily Journal of Commerce, wrote a feature story on my business - and I`m still getting clients as a result almost a decade later.  I always have the local business papers and magazines on my "Toot! Toot!" list.The DJC monthly magazine Commerce wrote about me "rattling the hell of of the keyboard" last fall.So, such publications are great for digging up information on potential clients and promoting your business through relationships established with staff editors and writers.- J.
