Pages with more than 100 links

I was reading somewhere today, but do not remember where, that if you have more then 100 links on one page that some search engine crawler stop indexing this page. I have a Site Map page that has more then 100 links.
Is this page hurting me more than it may help me with search engine?

You have google analytics... and google site map? When you check those reports what is said about the pages that are indexed? about your traffic?

I think the last time I looked at this list it was longer. Maybe because I submitted a new sitemap.xml? Should I remove the sitemap.txt that includes only directories? The sitemap.xml includes all pages. Do you think my Site Map page is hurting may indexing because it is so long?

Hurting.
Make sure you`re following the Google Webmaster guidelines when creating the page:

While you have a site map page, you should have a link to it from your home page.

Yes it sounds good idea.
vwebworld, is right for HTML sitemap you should have a link from home page that is fine. and if you have xml then you should try to do grouping of xml sitemap.
would probably be better to give the 100+ pages a speed-read on “day
one”, then split them up into 30-page (roughly) chunks to read on days
after that, taking notes if you prefer, and then going through again a
few times after, which has not only the benefit of helping your learning
through repeated practice but also lets you find potential bottlenecks
very early.
It's OK no worries.
