Inside Sales is any sales done remotely. Anything that involved selling with no face-to-face interaction with the prospect, usually involving telephone, email, Skype or another cyber-communication method, and other tools available on the internet.
Outside Sales, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. An employee is considered an outside sales rep if he or she makes sales in the ‘field’ or outside the office, usually through client meet-ups.
