Looks like pitch deck is the outcome of article.
Because it is extremely important for early stage companies, this is the first and foremost thing that any investor will take a look at. For other stage companies it is more important to seek funding, achieve a product market fit and find a way to develop it.
This is something one needs to have in place. And in a good design as well! So that it looks compelling and different from the others that are on the table of the VC. They receive a ton of them on a daily basis, and you need to stand out from the rest of the crowd.
I don't really think that product design is so important and for the early stage company because it will definitely lack a lot, compared to the release version.
The release version on the other hand should be in design as well. So, if you can deliver a release version. Being an early stage company, that would be definitely great and you should also concentrate on the design of the release version. Otherwise, I would pay additional attention to the pitch deck, and a compelling design event.
