My co-founder recently suggested that we take our bare bone idea of our business to a big fancy dev shop and that they will help us shape our idea, provide inputs, and fine tune it, in addition to of course building the website.
My reaction is that this is a lazy approach. I very much welcome scoping sessions with developers with experience, almost crucial, but I did not feel that we should stop research and refinement of ideas and market research on our side before we find a dev shop.
What do you guys think?
