    Great piece, Alec. It's critical that a potential franchise business owners do their homework before investing in any franchise company. Many brands tend to over sell their opportunities, and then under deliver in the long term. That is why understanding franchisee satisfaction and engagement at any given brand is so important. Prospective investors should talk with as many franchisees as they can, and fully understand the pros and cons of franchise business ownership. It's definitely not all 'sunshine and rainbows,' but for the right person who is disciplined and goal-oriented, investing in the right franchise business can be highly rewarding.
