Splitting Share between negotiator and workers

New GuyNew Guy subscriber Posts: 2 Member
Hello everyone,

I had a question about company share splitting.

I have a friend that works for a company which uses an outdated management software and He offered me to develop a new software to replace the outdated one.

His job will be :
- Walk me through current software, tell me exactly which functions are needed, tell me what needs to go where, whats the weakness points of the current software etc...
- Negotiate with the CEO of the company so he will buy our software.

More points to take into account :
- I would have to work for free for several months while he maintains his job
- Other than a couple of meetings which he will explain exactly what I need to do and the final negotiation - he won't work. I will do 100% of the development.
- He DOES give me an opportunity to make it big - I couldn't get the information about the outdated software and how to beat it from any other source so we need each other.

My question is, how much percent of the sales should my friend receive?
and could you please break down his share like this :

X% - negotiation
X% - time for meeting
X% - ....

I don't want to write what I think and what other told me so I can get a true answer from you guys
