Can anyone explain what is the day to day role of a business strategist in an organisation. What are his objectives and in what all he is involved in business and what requires to become one if you are from a sales profile.

Their work involves analyzing existing strategies and practices, identifying areas for improvement and developing innovative strategies related to the goals they help establish.
Basically you need to brainstorm and understand how the organization will profit from and where from exactly. They make goals for the enterprise. If you have done sales it means you know market. Now all you need to know is how a business could profit and from what steps.
