Seems like a silly question. However, most of our consumer decisions (e.g. where should I go for dinner tonight?) are driven by third-party reviews from sites like Yelp or Google. I've created a recommendation app called Etch, which is powered by reviews from people you know and trust – an innovative approach to the way we discover local businesses. With Etch, you can save and rate the places you visit, which can only be seen by your friends. This encourages contribution from a wider range of people who would otherwise not feel comfortable sharing their thoughts on public review forums — a layer of trust and personalization that does not exist anywhere else.
