Forming a corporation; how many shares should I authorize?

I'm in the process of forming an s-corp for a real estate brokerage. I'm going to be the only owner. How many shares should I authorize? I was thinking about authorizing 10,000. How many shares should I issue to myself? The entire 10,000, the majority of shares, etc?
