If you were to go and read Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People dated 1989, you will see it's the same, only deeper, as it is a book, not article.
My friend Psychology works in every aspect of life!
motivation is just the dopamine hormone, increase it and everything will be fine with you
For more recent research into modern motivating factors I would highly suggest anything from Steven Pinker.
He states the 3 main factors as purpose, autonomy, and mastery.
I agree and the arguments are compelling. I would post links but I'm too new so google will have to do.
I have gone through the article and It's quite interesting but I don't think that psychology only works for motivation to reach your goals. It is the most interesting and powerful aspect of a human life. It is the scientific study of human mind and behavior through psychology you can understand what other person thinks about you.
Yeah, I thought about it
in my experience once you learn that your thoughts are separate from your body form there is nothing that is impossible. Learning yourself and how to control your thinking and observing your emotions makes motivation extremely simple. Everything you need to know is inside of you.
Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It is what causes you to act, whether it is getting a glass of water to reduce thirst or reading a book to gain knowledge. Motivation involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior
Motivation to to hard work is very important.

I think that being consistent and making it your habit is much better than motivation,
Setting goals has a huge impact on how we begin to perceive ourselves. Why? Because knowing what we want to achieve changes our self-image, as our brain is unable to distinguish between blue dreams and mundane reality. What we want and what we have already achieved merge for it in the process of building our identity. In other words, all our dreams become part of us, our unrealized goals already becoming part of our inner self.
