  I think all the links form social media or networking sites are not all nofollow links. There are some social media sites that allow dofollow links in profile  section even all the submitted links. I can mention here few sites of them like diigo, folkd and bluechiptechnosys. 
  It's absolutely true that social media sites are the great source of getting huge traffic. But at the same time those help enrich any websites' or blogs' google link profile whether those are nofollow or dofollow.
