Flagging Posts as Spam

Ryan O'BlenessRyan O'Bleness administrator Posts: 1,137 Site Admin

Hello, all.

We are counting on the community's help more than ever to flag spam and inappropriate posts. This will help keep our community clean, and it is a way for each user to become trustworthy within the community by flexing their moderation muscles.

To flag a post, simply click the flag button on the Reactions bar located underneath each post and then click "Spam."

This will place the number of flags the post has received next to the "Spam" Reaction and show myself and others that it is a questionable post. Once the post receives five (5) "Spam" Reactions, it will go into our spam queue. Example below.

Bronze Level Members or higher also have the ability to report directly to administrators with the "Report" option. When reporting posts please include a link to the post in the reason section.

If you see a post with irrelevant links, a post that is overly-self promoting a business, duplicate blogs from other sites, a message copied and pasted in multiple posts throughout the forum, posts that look malicious (links that could contain viruses), posts that are offensive, posts where the only goal is to push a product, etc., then it should be flagged as spam or abuse.

Basically, if a post violates our guidelines or has a purpose that is not for the greater good of our small business community/does not contribute in a positive way, then it doesn't belong here. I can make final decisions once posts are flagged.
