Is LLC name really that important?

We want to start an LLC and we will immediately set up a DBA for the first product with plans to do more in the future. So my question, as stated in the subject, is does it really matter what we name our LLC? What if we choose a name that's humorous and not really relevant? In what circumstances could that negatively impact us? Thanks!

    Hi there,

Your LLC name is pretty irrelevant to your business, as long as you do not plan to use the name in your marketing. Your DBA is the most important thing to think about.

The only time you will be using your LLC name is for things like credit applications with vendors, tax returns, stuff like that. I've seen some funny ones out there, too!

    Best of luck!
