How did you find your Technology support company?

I own an Information Technology support company in NYC. I was thinking of targeting new businesses. I was wondering how some of you found your computer support firm? The obvious answer is word of mouth, which seems to be the main way. The problem is that not everyone has good IT support, so their recommendation might not be the best. I am looking to see if this market is a viable target. Thank you in advance for your input.

Hi,how are you? I just wanted to let you know ,I am with Ameriplan and we get our support from each other. We have conference calls daily. We stay in touch with each other plus we have web sights and yahoo messanger to talk to each other through our groups. We are team. Have a great day. I hope this info. helps a little.

Well, it`s probably not what you want to hear, but word of mouth is the way we found ours. Actually, word of mouth through a tech-based business association we belong to.Hope that helps in some way.

I would say a strong SEO presence will give you the back-links the search engines love, and coupled with a decent website, will net at least a trickle of calls which will spearhead the initial growth. Our website is relatively new and incomplete, but feel free to check it out.

Different technology companies require different types of support. Some companies need to create awareness about their products and services especially if they products are for consumer use.
