When I advertised to seniors I advertised in the community newspaper.  Other  places would be the local church bulletin, local shopping place (they have a senior mini mall here with a huge bulletin board)...The seniors are constantly at this board checking out new listings. Seniors expos is another thing in this area they flock to.  But the biggest of course is word of mouth. Once you have one senior that likes you they pass it on. I know someone who is a handyman who works exclusively in the senior community and he hands out my cards to seniors also. I placed flyers in the senior newspaper mailboxes and door hangers.  The best thing for me was the paper ad and the word of mouth by the handyman. I think its a trust thing and the paper is a reputable paper the seniors get..I heard postcards are the best form of direct mail I havent tried it yet but I will. Good luck.

I`m not sure where you are located, but in virtually every small town and suburb around me, there is a local Senior Center.  This would definitely be a "target-rich" environment.
Also, I`m not sure how to target this group, but what about targeting children of seniors.  While they would probably like to call their senior parents every day, it is no always possible.  This could give children peace of mind.
Also, you may try partnering with someone who offers complimentary services to seniors.  Maybe you could package your services with someone else`s, or maket jointly, reaching more people for less money.

Also local drugstores have a pharmacy area with blood pressure checks, grocery boards, pain specialists, nutritionists dealing with type 2 diabetes. Eye care centers, dmv, assistant stores with wheel chairs, canes etc.

Oh let`s not talk about "targeting" senior citizens. We can target average adults, but let`s just not use that technique on seniors or children. It sounds wrong.

First of all let me say that is a great idea. I live in Sarasota, FL where there are a lot of your target market. I have a wellness center that caters to that age group. We spent thousands on marketing, and we found that word of mouth was the best way. We give all our new members teeshirts hats you name it. Make your customer a walking bill board. It is really cool when I`m at Home Depot and I see one shirts. This probably is not very good advice, but it is what worked for us. Get a great graphics person to help you out with a look. Trust me it is worth every penny.

    Good Luck

Maybe you could figure out a way to market their kids and have them pay for your service. Just a thought. Hope it helps.

I`m curious. Have you actually sold this service to people in your
area? Are you able to charge enough to make it worth doing? What would
you do if someone didn`t answer the phone, keep calling them or call
police or family? Do you schedule calls at your convenience or based on
the senior`s preference? Are you opening yourself to liability by
    offering this service?
