What are the key issues you`ve needed to deal with in growing from a sole-proprietorship to hiring employees?
It`s a huge step for entrepreneurs, and it would be great to hear from others out there on this topic.
Thanks,Melanie

Non-Competes - Be careful that you are not training your next competitor.  Particularly if you have a small number of clients that you (and your employees) will have close intimate relationships with.
Payroll Services - They may cost you a bit in the long run but not having to do all those federal, state and local filings is a big benefit.  Some payroll services make workers comp and healthcare much more affordable.
Employee vs 1099 Contractor- Consider different relationships for the work that you are looking to have cared for.  Contractor status works in some situations and not in others.  Keep in mind the IRS guidelines on what constitues a contractor vs employee.
