i am filling in one of those business plan templates and i wanted to add in programming costs. i have outsourced some work and have done some work myself. say i spent $5k outsourcing and the other $5k worth i did myself. now technically whatever I did was "free" because it didn`t cost me money but it did cost me time!!! would my total programming costs be $5k or $10k?Anna2456/5/2009 12:24 PM

I agree. Although your time should be valuable, you are not paying anything for it. Thus it is not a cost to the business.

Since your laobr has value, it might come under "In Kind" cost. This is labor you actually put into your project. It`s a term used a lot in writing grant requests.nevadascul6/6/2009 12:14 PM
