A simple tip for selling more

We have to endure a lot of insults in business, but nothing hurts quite as much as the sting of no sales. When nobody's buying, it's like they're rejecting everything else you've done up to that point. Any information you've given them, time spent with them, all the hours of work and preparation--what's the point if nobody's buying? So what can you do to turn this around? Here's a great place to start: "Feel their pain..."When somebody comes to your website, it's usually because they're looking for a solution to some problem they're experiencing.When they arrive at your site, if you can accurately describe the pains, difficulties, and feelings their problems are causing, it doesn't matter what mood somebody was in when they first got to your site--now they're reliving their problem all over again.Two magical things happens when you accurately describe to somebody what they are currently experiencing:#1) They automatically begin to trust you, because they feel you know where they're coming from.#2) They automatically think that you must have the solution to their problems.That's the frame of mind you want them in, because then they'll be falling all over themselves to accept what you give them next: the solutions you provide to their problems.What I hope you got out of this...Beginning with your reader's pain is a great way of getting everybody on the same page with you. It is in no way meant to be manipulative or mean though, so if you begin to feel that way while writing then you'll want to rethink the words you're writing. You want to feel concern and empathy for your readers while you write. Your true personality comes though if you write from a position of genuinely wanting to help.
