Investing in me...

I`ve never applied for a patent but I consider myself an inventor, always tinkering...my wife calls it some other colorful words...I have 6 "green ideas" and over a dozen other non green, including 2 perpetual motion.  I got caught up in the foreclosure mess so I am strapped for funds.
Have any of you heard of a company that invests in a person as a "thinker"?...or should I solicit each idea to an appropriate industry manufacturer? If I had a "provisional patent" , am I legally able to license it to a manufacturer? That would be much more feasible for my situation.
Thanks for your time.
Clint
