Does anyone want to recommend a particular logo design site that they have had success with? I am ready to invest in a logo. Or is there anyone here who might be interested?
Logocares is fine, Steve here at Startupnation (campsteve), logoloft.. local graphic designers. Try and get unlimited revisions. And make certain you own all the copyrights to the logo.
HI,
I have a small home office specializing in corporate identities and logo design. My fees are very reaasonable, usually under $100 with two revisions for a basic design. You own the copyrights to all work as soon as you pay the fees. If I may be of assistance, please contact me. I`d like to help.
I liked LogoWorks a lot. Also looked at LogoLoft, they seem almost identical. How do you know for sure that you will own everything associated with the design?
If you look under the copyright laws, anytime a designer or writer work on a "work for hire" premise and are paid, they agree to turn over all rights to the work unless otherwise specified. Check out the copyright laws at the library of congress. I typically ask to reserve the right to show examples of a customers work in my portfolio and ask for permission if I plan to enter it in any competition. However, not everyone works the same way I do and you should always ask lots of questions, get it in writing and if you still do not understand parts of the contract, hire competent legal help.
That was a great article and extremely informative. Doesn`t do much for these online designers (haha) I don`t have a huge budget so I don`t think I have many options. I will do some more research and make a decision b/c I am ready to move forward. Thanks for everyone`s feedback.
I can recommend an excellent designer (who`s also very fair)

I agree with Tammi about Synergy. It is very important for the designer of the logo to engage with the client as well as extensive research and explorations.
