any success with avon home parties?

I sell Avon and I am planning a large Avon Bash at my house in 2 weeks. Has anyone had much success with throwing Avon parties? I know things like home and garden party, pampered chef and mary kay do these things quite often. I am just curious if Avon would be something successful with this also. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
