Inventory is a necessary evil that every organization would have to maintain for various purposes. Optimum inventory management is the goal of every inventory planner. Over inventory or under inventory both cause financial impact and health of the business as well as effect business opportunities.
Inventory holding is resorted to by organizations as hedge against various external and internal factors, as precaution, as opportunity, as a need and for speculative purposes.

I have used Contalog for my business. Contalog's inventory management software allows me to upload bulk products to backend. It helps in keeping track of products, suppliers from which a product comes from, warehouse it belongs, etc.,
In that way, it helps eliminate common mistakes arising when you transfer stocks among warehouses and during delivery. For more info, have a look at : https://www.contalog.com/inventory-mana ... ftware.php
What I think about a single system that can easily alleviate the pain of a retailer who sells both online and offline?
High. Really high.
An order and inventory management software is something that a retailer cannot simply do without if he/she sells on multiple online and offline channels.
Let’s take an example: If you have one or more warehouses and you sell on, say, 3 online marketplaces that include your own web-store, and 2 retail stores, how will you manage inventory and the orders that come from these channels?
If you want to add B2B channels to that, it makes the entire affair really cumbersome.
Not to mention managing purchase orders, accounting, and shippers.
So, what can help you manage all of this from one panel?
Yup, you guessed it right. It’s an efficient and cloud based inventory and order management software.
Inventory management is understanding how much stock an organisation has, where is it located, when it is required, and how to deliver it most efficiently. It is important to maintain a balance of stock in storage as less than adequate raw materials can stop the production line whereas large finished product storage can pile up costs.
Inventory management systems are essential to any business because they help you to keep track of sales patterns. These systems allow you to oversee which products are in high demand and which products are not.
