Liability Protection

I am trying to get my start up going which entails selling a non-food consumable item. I am having trouble finding an affordable quote for product liability insurance. I have read this is a common problem with start ups. Anyone have some experience with this issue? Although I don't think there will ever be a problem since the product is organic/all-natural, better safe than sorry as we live in such a litigious country (United States).
 
I have also heard that an LLC affords some protects, but just not sure how much.
