We have created transparentrees over the last 8 months with some very talented people included the developers at Hashrocket.  The site has been out of beta for about a month now.  We realized right off the bat that people were not motivated enough to start contributing so we are in the process of a major pivot.  We originally focus too much on information consumption and not enough on contribution.  We are currently combining the homepage, landing page, and live feed onto one to make navigating more simple, and adding a series of icebreakers questions you can answer directly on that page anonymously.  
 
We have learned from our mistakes, like any business, and hope to eventually create a truely polarizing product.  I am open to any review or critiques and will try to explain why certain aspects are built the way they are, but please take enough time so see all the features before jumping to conclusions.
