Good Business Idea?

Is this a good business idea? Finding an item that is sold directly, mostly from China. Let's say I buy that item for $8 from China and sell it for $12. Buying 150 of that item at a time, for example.This would be a good option for people who don't want to wait 2-3 weeks for international shipping.
 I would be buying from Alibaba, the quality of the suppliers there is pretty good. And Suppliers can give out sample so I can test them out before buying in bulk. The main thing is this is a good option for people who don't want to wait 2-3 weeks shipping?

Sounds good to me, but ti all depends on the demand right? Just depends on how much of a premium they are willing to pay for the convinience.

There are a lot of people that do this. The way to do it is to go to convenience stores and grocery stores and ask to set up a small stand? Work the stands as consignment. Market them to keep them stocked and they write a check once a week. This way you can place orders with alibaba and keep steady shipments coming in. Eventually a store front of your own could be possible. Just my 2 cents

Best way to find out is to focus and try to make just 1 sale. If you can make just one sale, you will learn a lot about the whole process by gaining practical experience.
