Woo hoo! my first post. I would like to write how to manuals on professional custodial work. Then sell them using an on demand publisher like Lulu.com . What I`m wondering is what if someone winds up ruining a floor or mixes the wrong chemicals by mistake. How do I protect myself from lawsuits?

Find an attorney who works in product liability. Unfortunately there are a lot of attorneys out there who will take your money (a lot of it) and slap some boiler plate language together in their word processor, and may miss some really key issues.
I have had some issues with attorneys who wrote really bad contracts, I`ve even had to have my lawyer fix spelling mistakes on another attorney`s agreements.

I`d agree with the other posters. Make sure that you have an attorney that`s reputable - ask for some references of past clients, find out any record the lawyer has in court cases and that sort of thing.
