Finding Sales Reps

Hello,
 
I was wondering if anyone has insight about the best way to find sales reps.  I know the criteria that the reps should meet as far as being able to sell our products but I`m not sure the best source(s) to use to begin a search.

Hi,
I just did a Google search for " finding a sales rep" and came up with over 45 million hits.  You can also change out the word sales and use vendor rep or manufacturer`s rep.  You might also try talking to the owner of a store that sell a product similar to your`s.  Ask them who they buy through.

LinkedIn is a great way for you to start, especially during such a time when some companies are cutting back on their sales team. Apart from being able to sell your products, they should be passionate about your product as well so that they are willing to take the extra mile to sell something for you.

Are you looking for sales people that are based in a specific location, or can they be virtual? LinkedIn is a great resource, but so is twitter! Also sales is my profession, maybe I know of some people that could help you out.

I just found a rep locally who like me understands my products (audio/guitar cables) he`s a musician and I think he will be a good fit - what was important to me was that he speak the musician language which is key to my future sales...

Other than that, try some freelance sites and see if you find what you're looking for.
You never know, there might just be the perfect sales rep just waiting for you to contact them.
