This post builds on the popular recent forum thread about favorite candidates posted by Joel, our chief community office.

Favorite Small Business-friendly candidates.

The web is a primary way for the Presidential candidates to achieve their various goals.

Let`s critique the Presidential candidates` websites and see what "takeaways" we can develop here so we can learn and make sure that we apply lessons to our own online efforts.

Here are the links for you to review:

1) Hillary Clinton

2) Barak Obama

3) John McCain

notice how each of them tries to get people signed up for email marketing and contributions, but with varying approaches? which do you like/prefer? and what other observations/reactions do you want to share?

Multiple css and coding errors in W3C. ( All 3 sites )
Too many "Contribute/Donate" buttons right away - big turn off. ( All 3 sites )
Useless splash page asking for something before offering content ( Hillary )
Difficult to read font color on background ( Obama )
Long loading time ( Obama )
