Partner for IT Staffing based in NYC or Lower CT

I am looking share the pain (and love) of launching a new business.  Has anyone out there started there own IT staffing (either Fulltime or Contract) firm?  I am looking to bounce some questions off people in the field. Have you signed up for the boards DICE, Monster, etc ?  How is the market treating you? Thanks,
