As all tips are given by many members, I would like to tell you one more things that add your website for Google Webmaster and analytics tools. These are the threads between your website and Google and to analyze traffic on your website respectively.

In addition to the above I would ensure that there is nothing stopping the search engines actually crawling the site.
For example ensure the pages that you want indexed and crawled have links from indexed pages pointing to them.
Makes sure the pages you want indexed do not have any of the following meta tags attached to them "NoIndex" & "NoFollow" as they instruct the search engines not to index the page.
