Building computer cabinets, how?

Hi, I posted in the selection section but no luck. I hope I can get some answers here.I have a strong desire to
get in to building computer cases. Frankly I`m quite impressed with the
P2 Chassis by Alienware and more.Could anyone of you enlighten
me on how to start building cases, cost of materials, best materials,
design-build phases? and what not? I`ve been researching a lot with no
luck and no one around me that would know these things.
