Backlinks from Answer Sites?

Anybody know of any sites where I can post answers to people’s questions and get backlinks to my site? (Like Yahoo Answers.)
Thanks, Tony

Yahoo Answers http://answers.yahoo.com Of course.

Wiki Answer http://www.WikiAnswer.com
But make sure you legitimately answer someone’s questions. Don’t make it spammy!
Hope that helps,

Can anyone explain why they do this? "They" including StartupNation?

I can not answer specifically for "them"... but, there are essentially a few reasons to use a nofollow tag:
It prevents the link to be indexed (by Google). Different search engines treat nofollow differently.
It is used to control of page rank. Simply stated, nofollow stops your page rank from leaking to linked external site. - although some argue the effectiveness of this practice.
Similarly, stopping page rank leak to less important internal pages.
However, sites (especially forums, blogs, and directories) that employ nofollow become less valuable to the website owner who posts on the forum, blog, or has a directory link.
In other words, my post on a forum that does not use nofollow helps my site (SEO) more than a post on SUN.

However, be sure to add quality content or comments in exchange for those links. That way its a win/win for everyone.
Many sites use No Follow to eliminate the site from being used for link building purposes. I believe it is a short sighted approach but it is what it is.

If any back link from QnA site depends upon how much time you spend it
Because if you do spam on that site then they will suspend your profile automatically
