MoMingle

MoMingle.com (http://MoMingle.com) allows people to post location-based messages/classified ads on a map. It is like Craigslist on a map. It is very simple to use. Somehow adding a map to show the classified/messages with different icons based on category is very interesting and fun to play with. The website just went live less than a week but I can see a lot of potential in it.

What would make a big difference to me: why not start the user zoomed in on their current location (assuming you can harvest that information). My feeling on web design is that people on the internet are very, very lazy. Showing them the benefit (posts near them) immediately can help when they`re deciding whether or not to hit the back button.
