How do i protect my business idea?

I believe I have an excellent idea for a new business or I could even link it to an already established company. As a single mum I can recieve some assistance through centrlink. Before I go approaching anyone I would like to know how to protect my Idea incase it really takes off!! Also any other advice re funding etc. would be appreciated as I have no capital.

In the meantime, if you haven't launched your website and you're trying to raise venture capital for your idea, you might like to think about having potential investors or partners sign a confidentiality agreement before you disclose to them your idea.
Hope You LIke it..

For example, if talk about software development business (I work in this sphere), you can't underestimate the importance of NDA.
I work for an outsourcing company and we sign NDA's every time we start working with a client, even before we start discussing his or her business idea. We have published an article on this topic, I think it can be useful for you too: How to protect your IP (Intellectual Property) when outsourcing software development? https://easternpeak.com/blog/software-d ... -contract/
Hope this helps:) And good luck!
