Need help with email marketing

Hi gang,

So, over the 5 years we`ve been selling online,  I have built up a customer list of over 1 million people.

I recently had a "I could`ve had a V-8!" moment, and I`d like to start promoting to my customer base.

My issue is this:  if I were to blast out 1 million emails, we`d be blacklisted at every isp in about 10 minutes.

I need a service that can safely help me clense my list and reach my own customer base safely.

Help!

Kevin

    Kevin,

You need a service that helps you break down your list into seperate categories. The more specific each subgroup is, the better response you should receive. It helps if they can sort out the "bounces" or un-deliverable addresses. Try Constant Contact, they have one of the best programs around. www.constantcontact.com

    Good Luck!

    Kevin, I would try
    www.aweber.com
    www.campaigner.com
I have had great experience with both of these companies. sipmarketinggroup5/28/2008 1:53 PM

The keys to sending mass e-mails out is not the amount of e-mails it`s the type.  If the 1 million mails are all opt-in addresses, then you shouldn`t have very many problems if at all.  However, if the 1 million e-mail addresses were purchased, you will run into problems.  Secondly, you have to find a trusted source that will send your e-mails out AND can handle the load of 1 million simultaneous e-mails out.  One of my previous jobs before I started my own business was handling all outbound e-mails for one of the big three search engine companies (not saying which).  It was not uncommon for one of the groups that used my servers would dump 600,000 e-mails onto my servers and the DNS lookups for these mails would sometimes crash the DNS servers.  After developing a solution for this problem (the model of which is still being used to this day) e-mails had no problems being sent.  My Point?  Research the companies you are going to send your e-mails out with VERY carefully.
