Free Press Releases

Hello Everyone,
I`m sorry if this is old news, but I just found www.PR-Inside.com. It is a website for the free submission of public relations distribution, news, and press releases. If you have used it or have insight into it, it would be great to hear. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing this with the StartupNation audience.
I offer a list of 40 sites at http://rembrandtblog.com/2008/04/18/40- ... s-release/ where you can post your press release. In April, these were all free sites, but they may have changes their policies since then.
Hope this helps!
Melanie
Thanks for the great post! Your list of no charge press release websites is a valuable list. Thanks.

You`ll want to focus on why your information is newsworthy, why it is unique and where people can get more information. The main thing to think about is "why will reporters care about what I have to say?"
And before you send out your release, try calling specific media members directly and pitching an "exclusive." See http://www.startupnation.com/steps/77/s ... ations.htm, www.rembrandtblog.com,

You may want to check www.prweb.com. They have a writing and distribution service that is cost-effective and fast.
And if you still need help, just let me know.
Thanks,
Melanie
prweb`s service only distributes it within their own network correct? how do you think this compares to other distribution sites like prwire for example?
distribution services are not cheap by any means. given that, what service has been the best in your opinion?
also, do you value quality or quantity when it comes to PR? in other words should the goal be getting those inbound links from high PR sites or should it be something else in your opinion?
distribution services certainly save a load of time!
Thanks for your note. Your PR distribution is going to depend on your goals. If you want major media coverage, your best bet is to research a few, targeted media members and then call them directly with your pitch.
(See http://www.startupnation.com/steps/77/s ... ations.htm for more details on this.)
If you want to spread the word about your business to a big media audience and get noticed by search engines, your best bet is to use a service like PRWeb or PRNewswire.
But please remember, media members receive hundreds of press releases so you will probably get better results if you perfect your pitch and create a specific list of media members to talk to directly (and even offer an exclusive story). Then, you can send out your release to let everyone know about your news.
For more tips on this, please see my free reports at www.rembrandtwrites.com. You can do your own, cost-effective PR with great results - it just takes a little extra time and effort.
I hope this helps,
Melanie
