There are various ways you can create traffic to your web site
1. Making Flyers and posting them everywhere2. Submitting your web site to Search Engines3. Creating an email list and Invest on an E-mail Marketing software and send newsletters4. Word of mouth5. Embed Keywords into your web site`s headerThese are some ways you can dirrect traffic to your web site, but remember there is a difference between directing traffic to your web site, and another is making sales.. I would look at "how am I going to close an online sale" as well as directing traffic to your web site.. Give 10 % off or something that will attract customers.
Given the nature of your site I would strongly recommend advertising... and not expecting many people to visit based on using it in forum signatures or other similar means.
I invested a small amount of money nothing major. Of course this was not to make a fast buck, some people understand that there is a ceartin amount of work that comes with each task to be succesfull. I truly am interested in becoming a e-comm. business.
I think it`s going to be a tough road for you JRMD. But you might
consider ways to try to reach niche markets...
Here`s one off the top of my head (I`m sure there are many ideas you
can come up with too):
Embarassing products: Some people might be a bit squeamish to go
to a regular pharmacy to purchase embarassing products like jock-
itch cream, female hygiene products, lice (and it`s rather
embarassing cousin) removal products, pregnancy tests, birth
control meds, erectile disfunction meds, etc. You can try to speak to
the emotional side of these particular products and offer your
solution, "discrete online purchases."
I think your best approach is to try to identify an emotional need
that can be met by using your particular service. You can advertise
locally, and you can try using pay-per-click advertising in Yahoo &
Google. You can also try to create some in-depth content (blog or
otherwise) around these emotional needs to try to gain placement in
search engines for those particular issues and promote your
solutions within that content.
Hey Zepp/Chris - not to burst anyone`s bubble, but we actually profiled an entrepreneur who`s been serving the `embarrassing` product market in one of our Key Moves a while back. Just wanted to point out Tom Nardone`s story with ShopInPrivate.com in case you were interested.
Nope, not my original idea, Chris. I probably did hear about it from
the Sloan Brothers! (So much data in my head, it`s hard to remember
where I hear or see ideas). Thanks for the link Chuck! When I get a
few minutes I`ll take a good look.
For what it`s worth, JRMD, I think it`s still a great idea, even if you`re
not the first to try it out. Seems like this could be a huge market and
there`s always room for more.
Hello Harold,
Well, since you asked I found THE perfect place to learn AND get traffic to your site. http://www.payitforward4profits.com/RSchlieper</A> This program REALLY works. Give it a try and let me know what your results are once you`ve gone through the learning and setting up. It`s easy and it works!
