Hi guys, I`m pretty new to the site and new to start ups in general.  My question has to do with artwork or graphics on products.  For example, If I buy software with clip art on it, can I use this on my labels?

Example, I sell a cookie scented candle, then can I stick the clip art of the cookie on the candle?  I`m not selling the artwork, just the candle.

Other than that, how do you guys get your art for your products?

Craig is correct - it`s important to read the licensing information on any software clipart to see what you are legally permitted to do with the images.  The danger with using images from such widely available software is finding that graphic being used by another company on packaging, signage, advertising etc.  It`s always best to use original art for your business - and that can be created by yourself, an illustrator or a graphic designer.
