Getting a government contract with Industry for the Blind

I have just patented (pending) a new product for firefighters
I would like to work with a guy who would like to take my product around the world to all the bases that America owns.
Does anyone have products that the government use any advice?
I also have a local distributor who has 350 other distibution shops around the country.  He would like to buy the product.  Should I license this to him? What should I ask for a royalty?  Projected profit 12 to 18 million.

    I currently work in the Military (USAF) as a Contracting Specialist. Meaning, we do all the solicitations, negotiations, awards, and administration of government contracts.     Jamie, I would love to talk with you or could you call or email me your number to contact?  I am not the best at typing all the things I would like to ask.  My phone # is 414-690-0256. I would like to bounce some things off of you.  Your in the right branch.  I would like to get these products into the bases with firefighters.  I saw some donations that the gov. made to a Afganistan FD. My product would be huge with all military firefighting.  Please call so I can get things lined up for the new year.  Thanks a million.  I would love to do business overseas also.

    Thanks for the info.  I will look into finding the contact in my area.  I work with a group of SBA people here in Milwaukee WI.  I hope they can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks for sharing the news about the federal government contracting small businesses. I personally believe it will help a lot of people. However, I suggest that small firms interested in doing business with the federal government must consult first with reliable contract consultants.
