thought this was hilarious but should be taken seriously as far as
things to avoid when you have to opt for stock photography for
marketing materials. Take a look.

I also found that royalty-free photos as opposed to rights-managed
photos tend to be more in the cliched realm more often than not.

That is hilarious!   I`ve seen a few of those exact photos before, but all of the themes everywhere.  Mental note, no pics of happy,efficient people in cheap suits...

Awesomely funny.Although admittedly I use stock (for some situations, it`s just way more practical than hiring a photographer, and the price is right), that blog perfectly captures the bad side of stock.

That is really hilarious, and very true I think I might`ve used one
or two photos of a similar type before. I admit, I`m a fan of stock
photography. But I`m also enjoying doing a bit of my own photography to
expand my skill set, so I might be using less of it in the future.
Really good stock is nice, though. It certainly does come in handy for
certain clients.

Mary -That is hilarious!  I think the exact same poses were being used when I designed a group of medical publications (and all the promo materials) back in the early 80`s - only the clothing and eyeglasses have been updated a bit.- J.

Awesome funny and hilarious as well. Getting stock photo is okay but its better if you can make photo for yourself because it will be all original. Stock photos are go-to pictures that you can use without copyright.
